Sonadow rain Ch 2

Sonic swallowed hard, keeping back the sobs that wracked his tiny chest. "M- Mephilies...." Shadow's eyes went wide, as he asked, "What about him, did he do this to you!!?" Sonic opened his eyes, and replied "I killed him...." his voice was a whisper, he was ashamed of what he did. "Sonic, you wouldn't have killed him if you didn't have a reason... so did you have one or not?" Sonic looked up at his dark lover, "he harmed........ Tails....." Sonic burst out into tears, uncontrollably sobbing, he couldn't stop even if he tried. 'Oh my god....' Shadow thought. "So... Sonic... you fought and killed him out of anger and agony?" Shadow asked, cocking his head to the left. Sonic dropped his head down, that his nose touched his right knee, as he replied with a simple, "Yes." Shadow under stood it perfectly, he moved more onto the bed, next to Sonic. He was still sobbing hysterically, his tears finding their way into his mouth, giving off that salty taste. "Can you tell me a little bit more?" Shadow asked, trying not to push it too much. "Well, you know I went to check up on tails at the airfield." Shadow nodded 'yes', "well as I walked into the workshop I saw he wasn't there but I saw a bit of blood on the workshop table so I guessed he'd hurt himself with one of his inventions so I when to the plane hanger. I walked in and saw a trail of blood; I started to get a bit worried." Sonic took a deep breath as a few more tears trickled down his face, "I walked further in, I heard dripping, it came from the Tornado T1-X... I walked up to it I thought it was the tank or radiator leaking, but as I got closer a pool of blood was on the cement floor. On the right wing lay his body beaten badly." He sighed, as more tears welled up in his eyes, Shadow gave him a quick embrace and signed with his head to carry on, "I was a little frightened, but as I turned around Mephilies was standing right there staring at me. I shouted at him for hurting tails and soon it turned into a fight. I ran towards a secret storage cupboard where Tails keeps some weapons in case of emergencies. I grabbed a gun but he sliced his claws across my chest, legs and arms. I turned around to face him again and pulled the trigger..." he screamed, clutching his ears down to his head with his hands. Shadow's eyes widened as the other's high pitched scream echoed through the entire house.  He grabbed Sonic and hugged him tightly, the azure hedgehog still crying. "It's okay Sonic... but now what happened to Tails?" Sonic looked at him and smiled relief "he's okay, I took him straight to the hospital as fast as I could, he just lost quiet a bit of blood but he's at his house now with Amy and Knuckles I dropped him off there while he was still asleep." Shadow smiled too, he was happy that Tails was okay, if Sonic was like this over what had happened to Tails getting injured imagine how he'd be if he had DIED!!

Shadow got up and walked to the bathroom. "Shads what are you doing?" Shadow ignored his question and kept on searching. He soon returned with the first aid kit. He placed it on the bed, next to Sonic. He opened it up and placed some alcohol, some gauze and some cotton wool balls down on the bed. He placed some of the alcohol on the cotton, and moved it to Sonic's chest. "This will sting but keep still. You can scream if you want." Sonic nodded to Shadow. Shadow placed the drenched cotton on top of one of Sonic's wounds. The azure one winced in pain, the gash was deep, deep enough to see bone. Shadow traced along the wound, cleaning off any blood and dirt. He threw the cotton away and got a new one. He went over the rest of the other's chest, arm, leg, and back wounds, every now and again receiving a sharp yelp or scream from his partner. "There. Now lets finish it off." He wrapped the gauze around the other's torso, dabbing it. He did his legs and arms slowly not wanting to hurt his lover any more than what he was already.

Sonic smiled at Shadow, "thank you" he said in a faint whisper. Shadow's face lit up in a faint pink, "it was nothing." Shadow pushed Sonic down gently to lie down.  Sonic's head fell softly on the pillow, his eyes slowly closing. "Good night, shadssss......" Sonic fell into instant sleep. Shadow smiled. He walked to his side of the bed and covered himself with the blanket. He threw another blanket over his lover and rested his hand on Sonic's chest. He sighed, the rain still fell, the thunder and lightning still sounding every minute. It was so peaceful, the rain, Sonic's rhythmic breathing, and the sound of both their hearts beating... it was amazing....

It was midnight when Shadow woke up. He looked at Sonic, his bandages  had a bit of blood on them. Suddenly Shadow's heart stopped... A loud noise came from downstairs... it was the sound of the window breaking..... (TBC!!!! Sorry for the long wait... damn exams!)
